John L. Davidson, M.D. specializes in Laser Vision Correction / LASIK, Refractive Cataract / Lens Surgery, Pediatric Ophthalmology, and Adult Strabismus Surgery. He is Board-Certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners and the American Board of Ophthalmology. Dr. Davidson has performed more than 25,000 refractive and cataract surgeries and has been named one of Southern California's Super Doctors in 2013 and 2014 as well as "America’s Top Ophthalmologists" by the Guide to America’s Top Ophthalmologists every year since 2007.
Dr. Davidson earned his Medical Doctorate with Highest Distinction from Indiana University in Indianapolis, Indiana, after earning Bachelor of Arts degrees in Biology and Chemistry from Indiana University in Bloomington, also with Highest Distinction. He completed a Residency in Ophthalmology at Indiana University in Indianapolis and was a Fellow in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus at the Jules Stein Institute in Los Angeles, where he won the Fellowship Research Award.
Dr. Davidson has earned recognition from the American Medical Association and the California Medical Association for the hundreds of hours of continuing medical education (CME) he has completed. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at the Jules Stein Institute, UCLA School of Medicine. He has also published articles in the Journal of Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus.

Shayna J. Aberle Mangers, M.D. earned her medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in 2003. In addition to graduating with honors, she was named to Alpha Omega Alpha, the national Honor Medical Society. She also received the Merck Award for Excellence in Surgery. Her internship was fulfilled at the University of Illinois College of Medicine/St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois. She completed her residency in ophthalmology, as well as her glaucoma fellowship, at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.
She specializes in medical, laser, and surgical treatment of glaucoma and also provides comprehensive ophthalmic services for adolescents and adults.
Andrew Young, M.D. earned his medical degree in 2001 from Brown University School of Medicine, where he was cited for academic excellence. After completing his internship at Brown University Internal Medicine Residency Program, he completed a residency in Ophthalmology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, NY and a clinical fellowship in Glaucoma at the University of California-San Diego and Hamilton Glaucoma Center in La Jolla, CA. He has co-authored several abstracts presented at annual meetings of national ophthalmology organizations.
Dr. Young is fluent in German and has a basic knowledge of Spanish and Portuguese. His hobbies include international and domestic travel, bicycling, photography and billiards.
Ashish Toor, MD is a comprehensive ophthalmologist who provides medical and surgical eye care for adults and children. Additionally, she has a special interest in the management of glaucoma patients. Dr. Toor earned her medical degree from the University of Cambridge in 2003, graduating in the top 1% of her class. She was a recipient of the Cambridge Commonwealth Trust Scholarship and William Harvey Studentship for academic excellence. Her internship in Internal Medicine was fulfilled at the Elmhurst Hospital Center, New York, where she was voted Intern of the Year. She completed both a clinical research fellowship in glaucoma as well as her residency in Ophthalmology at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. She is affiliated with the American Academy of Ophthalmology,the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the New York State Ophthalmological Society and Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO).

Dr. John Fang earned his medical degree from Vanderbilt University, after receiving Bachelor of Science degrees in both Biomedical Engineering and Chemical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, graduating with general and departmental honors. At the Mayo Clinic, he completed an internship in medicine and a residency in ophthalmology, and served as co-chief resident in his final year. A subsequent fellowship in cornea, anterior segment, and refractive surgery at Baylor College of Medicine further refined his surgical skills. Throughout his training, Dr. Fang has received numerous awards including the Gill Scholarship for Ophthalmology Research and the National Eye Institute Fellowship award. He is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is also a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society. Prior to joining Miramar Eye Specialists, Dr. Fang was an attending ophthalmologist at the Dean McGee Eye Institute, the Department of Ophthalmology for the University of Oklahoma, where he helped educate and train new residents and fellows.
Dr. Fang specializes in medical and surgical treatment of diseases affecting the cornea of the eye, cataract and intraocular lens implant surgery, and refractive laser surgery such as LASIK and PRK. He also has a particular interest in cornea transplantation, ocular surface disorders, dry eye syndrome, contact lens intolerance, and surgical correction of myopia, hyperopia, regular and irregular astigmatism. He is delighted to share his expertise in cornea, cataract, and refractive care with the Ventura County community. Dr. Fang speaks Mandarin and Basic Spanish.

Adam Martidis, M.D. earned his medical degree at the University of Pittsburgh. Following graduation, he completed a residency at Indiana University where he served as chief resident in his final year. During his residency, he earned the Grayson Leadership Award, an honor given to only three prior graduating residents in the history of the training program. He was also awarded a vitreoretinal fellowship at the New England Eye Center in Boston. Upon completion of this two-year fellowship, he accepted an academic position at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, an internationally recognized eye institution. Here, Dr. Martidis trained numerous residents and retina fellows in surgical and medical retinal diseases in one of the largest and most highly regarded programs in the nation. He has participated in multiple research studies, including personal projects and national clinical trials.

Dr. Martidis is a pioneer in managing macular edema using an injection of corticosteroid medication into the vitreous cavity. He published the first article on the use of this technique in the management of diabetic macular edema as a complication of diabetic retinopathy. Dr. Eyvazzadeh earned her Doctor of Optometry from Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, Illinois, in 1993, after receiving a B.S. in Visual Sciences there and a B.A. in General Biology from California State University at Northridge. She is board-certified by the National Board of Optometry, California Board of Optometry and the Illinois Board of Optometry. She also has certification in the treatment and management of ocular diseases and in therapeutic pharmaceutical agents (TPA).

David I. Halpert, O.D. received his BA degree in Psychology from Queens College, CUNY in 1973. He was bestowed a Bachelors of Science and Doctor of Optometry degrees from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, where he graduated with Beta Sigma Kappa Honors. Dr. Halpert completed a summer Residency at State University of New York, College of Optometry, in pediatric vision care.
Dr. Halpert had an associate practice in Hawthorne, CA specializing in the fitting of contact lenses and Vision Therapy from 1977-1979. In 1979 he opened the Agoura Hills Optometric Center. Dr. Halpert joined the medical staff of Conejo-Simi Eye Medical Group in August, 2012.
He is a Board Certified Optometrist and received additional certification in the treatment and management of ocular diseases in concert with the Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agents (TPA) program. Dr. Halpert has also been a Member of the Contact Lens Section of the American Optometric Association. Dr. Jaspinder Kalra is board-certified by the National Board of Optometry in the treatment and management of ocular diseases and use of therapeutic pharmaceutical agents (TPA). She performs comprehensive eye exams on patients of all ages, contact lens fittings, and refractive and cataract surgery consultations.
Dr. KaIra earned her B.S. in Biological Sciences with a Microbiology emphasis from the University of California, Davis. She continued on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry, Fort Lauderdale, FL in 2010. Dr. Kalra completed clinical externships at NSU Eye Institute, Eye Centers of South Florida, and South Florida Vision. Her training included contact lenses, low vision, pediatric care, and primary care of ocular disease. She has worked directly with some of the finest eye doctors in South Florida and Southern California.
