David I. Halpert, O.D.David I. Halpert, O.D. received his BA degree in Psychology from Queens College, CUNY in 1973. He was bestowed a Bachelors of Science and Doctor of Optometry degrees from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, where he graduated with Beta Sigma Kappa Honors. Dr. Halpert completed a summer Residency at State University of New York, College of Optometry, in pediatric vision care.

Dr. Halpert had an associate practice in Hawthorne, CA specializing in the fitting of contact lenses and Vision Therapy from 1977-1979. In 1979 he opened the Agoura Hills Optometric Center. Dr. Halpert joined the medical staff of Conejo-Simi Eye Medical Group in August, 2012.

He is a Board Certified Optometrist and received additional certification in the treatment and management of ocular diseases in concert with the Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agents (TPA) program. Dr. Halpert has also been a Member of the Contact Lens Section of the American Optometric Association. Professional society affiliations include the San Fernando Valley Optometric Society, the California Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association.

Dr. Halpert is conversant in Spanish.


Jaspinder Kalra, O.D.

Jaspinder Kalra, O.D.Jaspinder Kalra, O.D. earned her B.S. in Biological Sciences with a Microbiology emphasis from the University of California, Davis. She continued on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry, Fort Lauderdale, FL in 2010. Dr. Kalra completed clinical externships at NSU Eye Institute, Eye Centers of South Florida, and South Florida Vision. Her training included contact lenses, low vision, pediatric care, and primary care of ocular disease.

Dr. Kalra performs comprehensive eye exams on patients of all ages, contact lens fittings, refractive and cataract surgery consultations as well as post-operative care to cataract, laser vision correction, and minor surgery patients.

Dr. Kalra is fluent in Punjabi and speaks moderate Spanish.

John Ora, O.D.

John Ora, O.D.John Ora, O.D. completed his Bachelor’s degree in Public Health Sciences at University of California, Irvine and earned his Doctorate in Optometry at Southern California College of Optometry. Dr. Ora’s clinical externships included patient care at Ketchum Health, The Center for the Partially Sighted, VA West Los Angeles, and VA Southern Nevada. Dr. Ora continued on to complete a residency at VA Southern Nevada with an emphasis in Ocular Disease and Low Vision.

Dr. Ora performs comprehensive eye exams on both adults and children, contact lens evaluations, emergency office visits, and is proficient in post operative care for cataract and refractive surgery. Dr. Ora is also licensed to treat and manage glaucoma.

Dr. Ora is able to perform eye exams in English and Spanish.
